Blessed
I’m blessed to have such a devoted and self-sacrificing companion.
I loved my V-Day gift. But I love my wife even more.

After an agonizing experience at the local America’s Tire trying to get them to accept that 2 of my Yokohamas were defective and warranty ’em, I rolled out on a new set of rubber. :nono:
Good thing I discovered my tires were gone to shit, but it’s annoying to have to pay for new tires prematurely even though I got 2 of them partially covered. Being the pickyass that I am I did my research the night before and so far I love my new Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires! Going from the high performance to the ultra high performance class is like night and day compared to my previous set, which were already much improved over the OEM tires. Even on my stock wheels, I think they look hot.
I’m hoping someone will pick up my winter wheels/tires so I can finally be rid of them. It’s such a bitch changing out my wheels when I don’t have a garage. Maybe I’ll change my tune if we can score a place with a garage next year. In the meantime, I’ve ordered a set of low clearance snow cables off Amazon.
Thanks everyone for the great dinner and company! And for those that wanted to come but couldn’t, thank you too. This is my last birthday in LA for a while and it was a great one.
First, I get a kiss on the cheek while I’m half awake.
A couple hours later, I jump out of bed to check my Step 3 score and find a super birthday card on my laptop for someone named “Husband,” that’s me. And once my laptop is finished chugging, I find out I passed Step 3, the last of 40 hours of licensing exams!
After all the cheer, Angeline makes sure I read the back of the card where all the writing was. Who writes on the back anyways?
And finally, planned for dinner is some really good meat!
Happy birthday to me. :king:
OMG. I thought it would never happen, but it did. According to my previous post, this could never be possible, but Nikon has done it. Nikon has just announced the new full frame D3 with the FX format sensor and its little brother the D300! The D3 is set for a $5000 retail price with ISO sensitivities up to 25,600 thanks to its huge photosites! But the D300 is more in my range at $1800 with most of the same features including the new CAM3500 style autofocus module…drool.
Behold, the new Nikon D300 with optional but sexy vertical grip:
Notable features I’ve been waiting for in a single camera:
The D3 and D300 are both set for release in November 2007.

T’was a great movie. Lots of classic Simpsons slapstick, but also lots of classic Simpsons intelligent humor too. Sadly, though, there is no “couch gag” at the beginning. Boo!

For the past year our lives have slowly built up to this huge climax, the wedding. Now that we’ve slowly come back down from heaven, I’ve had time to toss together this album of our honeymoon. Here are roughly 280 selected from out of over 1600! Sigh…
I’m going to sneak this post in since I haven’t had a chance to put together proper galleries for our wedding and honeymoon.
Here’s a quickie from graduation! :yeah:
Wow. I’ve been so bored at all the recent musicals we’ve seen. But this one had all the elements required to keep me awake: humor, great original songs, awesome plot and creativity. I thought the story was ingeniously tied into the story of Oz that I remember. And it was nice because you didn’t even have to refresh your memory beforehand.
Wicked is wicked good. Go see it if you can.
