I Survived
Yay!
I’m happy to report that I survived my first day in the OR as an anesthesia resident. And so did my patients. My poor feet endured 13 hours of standing. Those Dansko shoes are looking pretty enticing right now, but I must resist. I’m going to have to look for some comfy but still cool looking shoes though.
Congratulations to all the other people I know beginning their residencies after a long internship.
Also, I’m glad it’s summer so we can explore the Bay a little while the weather’s so nice.
so… how are you enjoying the work? i heard you are working some crazy hours.
Work is fun. The hours aren’t as crazy as what I’ve done before. But I’m also not used to working straight for 12-13 100% productive hours with only 45 minutes of break. But at least I get most weekends off…for now.
